EEG, CBO sign MOU

Friday, 18 February 2022,Addis Ababa , Ethiopia: Ethio-Engineering group and the Cooperative Bank of Oromia (CBO) sign here today a memorandum of Understanding(MOU) meant to help them work together .
EEG CEO, Ambassador Meseganu Arega and CBO president, Drebie Asfaw signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
The signing ceremony was attended, among others, by the EEG’s Deputy CEO for Human Resources Sector, Kifle GebereMariam, and the bank’s management members.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of the Bank, recalling that the relentless efforts have been made to reach at this juncture, said that the two sisterly organizations will continue to work together.
Mentioning that the bank has put in place, currently, lots of financial packages , he stated that his bank wants to work and cooperate jointly in and around these services.
Ambassador Misganu Arega,CEO of the group on his part reiterated that EEG and CBO will work on jointly with the principle of mutual benefit and cooperation .This is a good opportunity for both of us to work together , he said .
Noting that the bank has become competitor in a few years, he hoped that it will work to benefit both sides by leveraging the potential amassed in EEG.
The MoU covers the provision of loans, foreign exchange supply, employees benefit packages and other frameworks.
CBO offers, among othors , retail, cooperative, institutional and diaspora, and IFB banking services with a vision of becoming the leading private bank in Ethiopia by 2025.
